    Summary

    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Moy) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023.

    Consultation description

    The Order will—

    • authorise a length of Charlemont Street for use as parking places and prescribe the conditions under which they may be used. Between the hours of 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on the days Monday to Saturday inclusive parking will be limited to 2 hours with return to a parking place prohibited until 2 hours have expired;
    • introduce a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Charlemont Street;
    • update the definitions of “postal packet” and “universal service provider”; and
    • revoke and re-enact certain existing waiting restrictions in Moy.

    Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

    Inspecting the proposal

    Inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the office e-mail address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 028 8225 4085.

    Making an objection

    Any person may, before 27 March 2023, object or make other representations to the proposal in writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing trafficwestern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds for objection.
