    Summary

    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make the Experimental Traffic Control Scheme – Compulsory Left-Hand Turn and Prohibition of U-Turn at the junction of the M2 Motorway Ecos off-slip at Junction 11, Raceview Road and Broughshane Road, Ballymena for a period of 6 months.

    Consultation description

    The scheme will –

    • make it compulsory for vehicles proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the M2 motorway Ecos off-slip at junction 11, Ballymena to make a left-hand turn onto Broughshane Road; and
    • prohibit vehicles proceeding in a south-westerly direction along Raceview Road or in a north-easterly direction along Broughshane Road from making a U-turn at the gap in the central reservation those roads’ junction with the M2 motorway Ecos off-slip at junction 11, Ballymena.

    Vehicles are excepted from the compulsory turn and prohibition in certain circumstances.

    Inspecting the Proposal

    Full details are contained in the draft scheme which together with a map showing the road involved may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at the Department's address as follows:
