The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make the Experimental Traffic Control Scheme – Castle Place, Belfast for a period of 6 months.

Consultation description

The scheme will –

  • prohibit vehicles from using the northern carriageway of Castle Place, Belfast from a point 17.5 metres east of its junction with Donegall Place for a distance of 84 metres in an easterly direction; and
  • introduce a cycle lane on the northern carriageway of Castle Place, Belfast from a point 17.5 metres east of its junction with Donegall Place for a distance of 84 metres in an easterly direction.

Vehicles are excepted from the prohibition in certain circumstances.
