Northern Ireland Survey of Seat Belt Wearing statistics
The Northern Ireland Road Safety Monitor Report covers behaviour, attitudes and awareness of road safety issues among the general public in Northern Ireland. The main topics covered in this report vary each year but can include carelessness and inattention, drinking and driving, fatigue, mobile phones, pedestrians, penalty points, school buses, seat belts and speeding.
Background
These reports continue the series of research monitors on attitudes to road safety issues in Northern Ireland and highlight the key findings of the research carried in the most recent Omnibus surveys. The reports detail the results from the surveys to provide an understanding of the attitudes, awareness and behaviour of respondents to specific road safety issues.
The reports additionally draw on other data sources where relevant, notably the PSNI collision and casualty statistics. Detailed tables are included in the appendices to the reports and are also available to download in Excel format.
