The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled the Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024.

Consultation description

The Order will–

  • apply a 40 miles per hour speed limit to a length of Lattone Road, Belcoo; Ballygowan Road, Belfast; Clooney Road, Eglinton; Abbey Road, Millisle; and Victoria Road, Newbuildings;
  • de-restrict a length of Ballygowan Road, Belfast so that the national speed limit applies; and
  • apply a 30 miles per hour speed limit to a length of Temple Road, Londonderry.

Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.
