The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Taxis (Ballymena) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022.

Consultation description

The Order will relocate an existing taxi stand on Springwell Street, Ballymena from its current location at a point 110 metres east of its junction with Duke Street to a proposed new location at a point 90 metres east of that junction. The stand is available for use at any time and a maximum of 2 taxis may use it at any one time. No vehicle other than a taxi is permitted to use the stand. The Order will also revoke and re-enact certain other taxi stands in Ballymena.

Inspecting the proposals

Full details are contained in the draft Order, which together with a map showing the road involved, may be inspected free of charge, during office hours, within the period below, at DfI Roads Northern Division, Traffic Management, County Hall, 182 Galgorm Road, Ballymena, BT42 1QG

Due to ongoing Covid-19 guidance, access to this building is limited and inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the office e-mail address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Making an objection

Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing dfiroads.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk within a period of 22 days from the date of publication of this Notice.
