Background
This statistical brief was commissioned by Road Safety and Vehicle Regulation Division, DOE. The purpose of the paper is to review PSNI road traffic collision data and identify any emerging issues that may explain the recent increase in the number of pedal cyclists killed or seriously injured on roads in Northern Ireland.
