The order will prohibit vehicles exceeding 3 tonne (previously 7.5 tonnes) maximum gross weight using Rawbrae Road, Whitehead. The order will also remove the 5 tonne weight restriction on Park Road, Newtownabbey. Vehicles are excepted from the restriction in certain circumstances.
The Department has made a Statutory Rule entitled The Traffic Weight Restriction (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015 (S.R. 2015 No. 269) which comes into operation on 29 June 2015.
