The Control of Traffic (Queen Street, Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016 No. 12

The Department for Regional Development has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Control of Traffic (Queen Street, Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016”, (S.R. 2016 No. 12), which comes into operation on 8 February 2016.


The rule will provide a contra flow cycle lane on lengths of Queen Street, Belfast.

Vehicles are permitted to use the cycle lane in certain circumstances.

The rule will also amend the One-Way Traffic (Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009 by changing the description of the item relating to Queen Street to exclude the cycle lane.
