PART-TIME SPEED LIMIT – SCHOOLS
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Schools (Part-Time 20mph Speed Limit) (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026” (S.R. 2026 No. 83), which comes into operation on 20th May 2026.
The Order will introduce part-time 20mph speed limits at:-
- Castlegore Road and Drumquin Road, Castlederg adjacent to Castlederg High School;
- Trienamongan Road, Castlederg adjacent to St Caireall's Primary School;
- Cloughcor Road, Cloughcor, Ballymagorry adjacent to St Mary's Primary School; and
- Breen Park, Fyfin Road and Urbalreagh Road, Victoria Bridge adjacent to St Eugene's Primary School.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged either by email to trafficwestern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone on 0300 200 7899.
