A Goods Vehicle operator has been fined £9,000 for tachograph and drivers’ hour offences at Dungannon Magistrates Court.

Barony Services Ltd, of 87 Devesky Road, Sixmilecross, County Tyrone, was fined £1000 for each of nine offences on Monday.
On 29 May 2024, a heavy goods vehicle owned and operated by the company was stopped by Driver and Vehicle Agency enforcement officers on the A45 Granville Road, Dungannon.
On examination of the vehicle’s digital tachograph, it was established that the company had failed to download the driver’s digital card within the 28-day legally permissible interval.
The vehicle's tachograph calibration had also expired, and the company was found to have caused or permitted the vehicle to be driven on seven occasions without the use of a driver's card.
The court also ordered Barony Services Ltd to pay an offender levy of £15.
