The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled the Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 5) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024.

The Order will–

  • apply a 30 miles per hour speed limit to a length of Temple Road, Derry/Londonderry, and
  • apply a 40 miles per hour speed limit to Drumnagoon Road and Kernan Hill Road, Portadown and to lengths of Tullyvar Road, Aughnacloy; Quarry Road, Knockloughrim, and Moy Road, Scotch Street, Portadown.

Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

Inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using the office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.
