The Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2017

The Department for Infrastructure proposes to make an Order entitled The Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2017.


Consultation description

The Order will–

apply a 40 miles per hour speed limit to a length of:

  • Randalstown:Barnish Road

apply a 50 miles per hour speed limit to a length of:

  • Donaghmore: Pomeroy Road

de-restrict lengths of the following so that the national speed limit applies:

  • Donaghmore: Mullaghfutherland Road and Pomeroy Road

apply a 30 miles per hour speed limit to a reduced length of:

  • Omagh: Brookmount Road; and

revoke a number of speed limits so that a 30 miles per hour speed limit (restricted by street lighting) will apply to lengths of:

  • Stewartstown: Coole Road and Washing Bay Road.

Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.
