Summary

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Carrickfergus) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023.

The Order will –

  • authorise a length of Castle Street, Carrickfergus for the use as a parking place and prescribe the conditions under which it may be used. Between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive, parking will be limited to 1 hour with return to the parking place prohibited until 1 hour has expired. Vehicles are excepted from the conditions in certain circumstances.
  • prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading not permitted) on a length of Antrim Street and North Street, Carrickfergus. Vehicles are excepted from the prohibition in certain circumstances.

The Order will also revoke and re-enact certain other parking places and waiting restrictions in Carrickfergus.
