Notice of Intention to make an Abandonment Order - Ferrard Meadow, Antrim

Consultation opened on 25 June 2019. Closing date 06 August 2019.


The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), being of the opinion that the road is not necessary for road traffic, proposes to make an order to abandon an area of 1013 square metres of grass verge at Ferrard Meadow, Antrim commencing at the south-eastern boundary of the Holiday Inn Express extending for a distance of 225 metres in a south-easterly direction.

Inspecting the proposal

The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 25 June 2019 to 6 August 2019 at the Department's address as follows:

Making an objection

Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal by writing to the Department at the address below or by emailing stating the grounds of the objection.
