Summary

The Department for Infrastructure hereby gives notice, in pursuance of Article 12A of the Drainage (Northern Ireland) Order 1973 (as amended) that it proposes to carry out flood alleviation works on the Glenbrook River in East Belfast.

Consultation description

There is significant flood risk associated with the existing watercourse
infrastructure. Drainage improvement works are required to improve the
standard of protection and alleviate the risk of flooding.

The purpose of the scheme is to protect properties located at Cregagh Road, Downshire Park Central, Downshire Parade, Downshire Park North,
Downshire Park East, Somme Drive, Hamel Drive, and Montgomery Chase
from flooding.

A copy of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection, during normal opening hours, from 12 September to 14 October 2019 at the addresses below:
