The Department for Infrastructure proposes to make an Order entitled The Control of Traffic (Belfast City Centre) Order (Northern Ireland) 2017.

Consultation description

The Order will-

  • provide cycle lanes on lengths of Middlepath Street.
  • provide shared cycle tracks on lengths of footway of Middlepath Street.
  • prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading not permitted) on lengths of Dalton Street and Middlepath Street.
  • amend The One-Way Traffic (Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009 to allow cycles to proceed in both directions in the cycle lanes on Middlepath Street.

Vehicles are excepted from the prohibitions in certain circumstances.
