A Marine Licence application has been made by the Department for Infrastructure to repair damaged concrete bridge inverts and apron in the location of Bonamargy Bridge, A2 Cushendall Road, Ballycastle, approximately 30m from its junction with the Glenshesk Road.

Marine and Fisheries Division DAERA, is the Marine Licensing authority for Northern Ireland, and controls the deposit of materials from the high water mean spring tide mark out to 12 nautical miles.
