A32 Cornamuck, Dromore Realignment Scheme

Consultation opened on 26 August 2015. Closing date 16 October 2015.

Summary

The Cornamuck scheme involves the provision of 1.4km of realigned single carriageway on the A32 Tummery Road between Dromore and Irvinestown.

The scheme is expected to make a significant contribution to the improvement of the A32 Omagh to Enniskillen route and the Department would encourage road users and anyone affected by the scheme to take part in the public consultation process.

The A32 is a Trunk Road within the Regional Strategic Transport Network and provides a link from Omagh and the surrounding areas to the South West Acute Hospital near Enniskillen. The scheme at Cornamuck includes 0.6km of online widening and realignment and a 0.8km section of offline carriageway construction. The plans include bus stops and associated lay-bys on the new section of carriageway. A new junction with Longhill Road is also proposed.

The consultation period starts on Wednesday 26 August 2015 and runs until Friday 16 October 2015.
