Term Contracts for Asphalt Resurfacing 2020 Phase 2

Estimated value: Up to approx. £8m per annum
Estimated release date: January 2020
Detail: The Term Contracts for Asphalt Resurfacing 2020 Phase 2 will include the following work activities: laying various types of asphalt, asphalt concrete and thin surfacing by mechanical means, laying various types of asphalt, asphalt concrete and thin surfacing by hand, reshaping of carriageways, adjustment of street furniture to new levels, adjustment/provision of kerblines, adjustment/provision of carriageway drainage systems, traffic management, road marking/studs, other associated ancillary works in the following Local Government Districts:

ARN2 - Mid & East Antrim
ARE1 - Belfast
ARS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon
ARS3 - North Down & Ards
ARW3 - Fermanagh

Bracky Bridge Replacement

Estimated value: Approx. £300k
Estimated release date: January 2020
Detail: A bridge replacement scheme works to include the construction of a reinforced concrete bridge using cast insitu elements and precast prestressed concrete beams. Widening an existing carriageway with new embankments and bituminous surfacing.

Supply and Delivery of Traffic Management Equipment

Estimated release date: January 2020
Detail: DfI Roads & Rivers have a requirement for the supply and delivery of traffic cones, cylinders, barrier boards, bollards and associated traffic management equipment. These items are used for temporary traffic control, road maintenance and fleet maintenance operations undertaken by DfI Roads and Rivers.

Provision of SCANNER Survey 2020

Estimated release date: January 2020
Detail: The Department for Infrastructure requires a Contractor to carry out SCANNER surveys on various roads across the Northern Ireland road network in accordance with the specification schedule.

Term Contracts for Minor Improvement Works 2020

Estimated value: Up to approx. £1.9m per annum
Estimated release date: February 2020
Detail: The Term Contracts for Minor Improvement Works 2020 will include the following work activities: network improvement schemes; drainage installation; pavement surfacing; earthworks; traffic management; traffic calming schemes; transportation schemes, working with services / utilities; TTM / dealing with live traffic on public roads and other associated ancillary works in the following Local Government Districts:

MIN1 - Causeway Coast & Glens;
MIW1 - Mid Ulster; and
MIS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon.

Term Contracts for Small Scale Responsive Works 2020

Estimated value: Up to approx. £2.7m per annum
Estimated release date: February 2020
Detail: The Term contracts for Small Scale Responsive Works 2020 will include the following principal work activities: permanent reinstatement of openings and repairs to defects in footways and carriageways with all types of surfaces; adjustment/provision drainage installation and maintenance schemes; earthworks; environmental works; provision & maintenance of fences and pedestrian guardrail; reconstruction of carriageways and footways; accommodation works including walls, fencing etc.; adjustment/ provision of kerblines; small network improvement schemes e.g. traffic management schemes, traffic calming schemes and other associated ancillary works in the following Local Government Districts:

SSE2 - Lisburn & Castlereagh
SSS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon
SSS3 - North Down & Ards

Provision of ISO 9001 Surveillance and Accreditation Services for the Operations & Maintenance Quality Management System

Estimated release date: February 2020
Detail: This contract will ensure the provision of on-going surveillance and accreditation of DfI Roads Operations & Maintenance’s Quality Management System to the most current BS EN ISO 9001 standard.

Term Contracts for Watercourse Maintenance 2020

Estimated value: Up to approx. £325k per annum
Estimated release date: March 2020
Detail: The Term Contracts for Watercourse Maintenance 2020 are for the provision of plant and labour works service resources from suitable contractors to undertake watercourse maintenance work to designated watercourses.  Work activities will include the removal, as necessary, of materials and obstructions restricting flow or reducing capacity of watercourses. This includes vegetation clearance, the removal of silt and extraneous matter from the bed of watercourses and aquatic vegetation growing in the water, within the four individual and separate regions as listed below:

WME1 - Eastern
WMW1 - Coleraine
WMW2 - Omagh
WMW3 - Fermanagh
