Detail: DfI Roads & Rivers have a requirement for the supply and delivery of a number of small plant items.

Bracky Bridge Replacement

Estimated value: Approx. £300k
Estimated release date: April 2020
Detail: A bridge replacement scheme works to include the construction of a reinforced concrete bridge using cast insitu elements and precast prestressed concrete beams. Widening an existing carriageway with new embankments and bituminous surfacing.

Provision of Property and Vehicle Loss Assessor Service

Estimated value: Approx. £50k
Estimated release date: April 2020
Detail: DfI Roads Claims Unit wish to award a contract or contracts for vehicle and property damage loss assessor services. The requirement will be divided into two lots and Economic Operators may submit a tender for one or both lots.

Term Contracts for Minor Improvement Works 2020

Estimated value: Up to approx. £1.9m per annum
Estimated release date: April 2020
Detail: The Term Contracts for Minor Improvement Works 2020 will include the following work activities: network improvement schemes; drainage installation; pavement surfacing; earthworks; traffic management; traffic calming schemes; transportation schemes, working with services / utilities; TTM / dealing with live traffic on public roads and other associated ancillary works in the following Local Government Districts:

MIN1 - Causeway Coast & Glens;
MIW1 - Mid Ulster; and
MIS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon.

Term Contracts for Small Scale Responsive Works 2020

Estimated value: Up to approx. £2.7m per annum
Estimated release date: April 2020
Detail: The Term contracts for Small Scale Responsive Works 2020 will include the following principal work activities: permanent reinstatement of openings and repairs to defects in footways and carriageways with all types of surfaces; adjustment/provision drainage installation and maintenance schemes; earthworks; environmental works; provision & maintenance of fences and pedestrian guardrail; reconstruction of carriageways and footways; accommodation works including walls, fencing etc.; adjustment/ provision of kerblines; small network improvement schemes e.g. traffic management schemes, traffic calming schemes and other associated ancillary works in the following Local Government Districts:

SSN1 - Causeway Coast & Glens
SSE2 - Lisburn & Castlereagh
SSS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon
SSS3 - North Down & Ards

Supply and Delivery of Road Marking Materials

Detail: DfI Roads & Rivers is seeking to secure a call off contract for the supply and delivery of road marking materials that fully meet operational needs in a sustainable manner, taking account of any opportunities for innovation and minimising environmental impacts.

Term Contracts for Watercourse Maintenance 2020

Estimated value: Up to approx. £325k per annum

Detail: The Term Contracts for Watercourse Maintenance 2020 are for the provision of plant and labour works service resources from suitable contractors to undertake watercourse maintenance work to designated watercourses.  Work activities will include the removal, as necessary, of materials and obstructions restricting flow or reducing capacity of watercourses. This includes vegetation clearance, the removal of silt and extraneous matter from the bed of watercourses and aquatic vegetation growing in the water, within the four individual and separate regions as listed below:

WME1 - Eastern
WMW1 - Coleraine
WMW2 - Omagh
WMW3 - Fermanagh

Flush Bridge Stream Culvert Upgrade

Estimated value: approx. £1m
Estimated release date: April 2020
Detail: Delivery of a high-quality flood alleviation scheme that protects residential properties and the Prince William Road, Fulmar Avenue and Ballymacash Road in Lisburn, Co.Antrim, from flooding during a 1 in 100-year flood event. This scheme involves the installation of a new 1200mm diameter precast concrete culvert between Derriaghy Road and the western extents of Killowen Primary School grounds. The works will also involve the installation of a number of precast concrete manhole chambers, 1 no. bespoke cast in-situ chamber, service diversions, temporary works design and construction, road reinstatement, traffic management and landowner liaison.

Hollywell Burn Embankment Works

Estimated value: approx. £500k
Estimated release date: April 2020
Detail: Delivery of a high-quality flood alleviation scheme that protects Kilbegs Business Park in Antrim town, Co. Antrim, from flooding during a 1 in 100-year flood event. The scheme involves the construction of a new reinforced concrete flood wall, improvements to and extension of an existing flood bund and flood alleviation measures to a number of residential dwellings in the vicinity of Plasketts Burn downstream of the main flood alleviation works.
