The Prohibition of Traffic (Union Street, Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022, No. 281

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Prohibition of Traffic (Union Street, Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022”, (S.R. 2022 No. 281), which comes into operation on 11th December 2022.

Details

The Rule will prohibit vehicles from using Union Street, Belfast from its junction with Little Donegall Street to its junction with Donegall Street. Certain vehicles are excepted from the prohibition in certain circumstances.

The Rule will also remove certain pay and display parking bays on Union Street.            

A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged either by email to traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone on 0300 200 7899.
