Notice is hereby given under Article 65 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 the Department proposes to construct a total of 4 No. flat top road humps.

Consultation description

The speed control features will be constructed in accordance with the Road Hump Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999.

The road humps will extend across the whole width of the carriageway with a height of no more than 100 mm above the existing road surface.

The scheme will consist of:

  • A flat top road hump, which will be side tapered and will measure approximately 5.8m in width, 3.5m in length and 25mm in height, on the Blackisland Road at approximately 101m NW of its junction with Derrygavad Road.
  • A flat top road hump, which will be side tapered and will measure approximately 5.8m in width, 4.5m in length and 50mm in height, on the Blackisland Road at approximately 25m NW of its junction with Derrygavad Road.
  • A flat top road hump, which will be side tapered and will measure approximately 5.8m in width, 4.7m in length and 75mm in height, on the Blackisland Road at approximately 105m NW of its junction with Ardress Road.
  • A flat top road hump, which will be side tapered and will measure approximately 6.5m in width, 4.7m in length and 75mm in height, on the Blackisland Road at approximately 17m NW of its junction with Ardress Road.
