The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Belfast) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2020.

The Order will—

  • authorise a length of Balmoral Road for use as a parking place and prescribe the conditions under which it may be used. Between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive, parking will be limited to 2 hours with return to the parking place prohibited until 1 hour has expired;
  • authorise a length of Peters Hill for use as a parking place and prescribe the conditions under which it may be used. Between 8.00 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday inclusive, parking will be limited to 1 hour with return to the parking place prohibited until 1 hour has expired;
  • introduce a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Ballyregan Road, Balmoral Link, Balmoral Road, Beechlands, Castleview Road, Collingwood Avenue, Cromac Street, Crumlin Road, Dargan Road, Duncrue Road, Duncrue Street, Herdman Channel Road, Ladas Drive, Ladas Way, Lincoln Avenue, Lindsay Street, Lisburn Road, Malone Road, Reaville Park, Stockmans Lane, Upper Green Dennet End, North Bank, South Bank, Balfour Avenue and Cregagh Park;
  • introduce a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading not permitted) on lengths of Ashleigh Manor, Castlereagh Road, Catherine Street, Friendly Street, Glebe Road, McGurks Way, Middlepath Street, Seymour Row, Stewart Street and Upper Newtownards Road;
  • introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive (loading and unloading permitted) on a length of The Mount;
  • introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.30 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Station View;
  • introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm Monday to Friday inclusive (loading and unloading permitted) on a length of Ballyregan Road;
  • introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (loading and unloading not permitted) on lengths of Berry Street and Glebe Road;
  • introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (loading and unloading not permitted) on a length of Castlereagh Road;
  • introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Sunday inclusive (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Duncrue Street;
  • introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Sunday inclusive (loading and unloading not permitted) on lengths of McGurks Way and Stewart Street; and
  • correct a typo in the description of an existing waiting restriction on Rowland Way.

      All in the City of Belfast.

Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

Making an objection

Any person may, before 21 August 2020, object or make other representations to the proposal in writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds for objection.
