he Department for Infrastructure (DfI), gives notice of its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993.

The effect of which would be to abandon two areas of road on the western side of the Westlink, Belfast comprising—

  • 726.805 square metres of footway extending north for 270 metres from Peters Hill; and
  • 79.053 square metres of footway extending 30 metres from Regent Street to Clifton Street.

Inspecting the proposal

The areas of road proposed to be abandoned are delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft Order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 3 April 2024 to 14 May 2024 at:

Inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the office e-mail address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.
