DfI Training Centre is seeking to establish a framework agreement with up to 2no. CITB approved training providers to provide CITB 1 day Site Safety Plus Health & Safety Awareness course followed by the relevant:

CITB Health & Safety & Environmental Highways Operative test;
CITB Health & Safety & Environmental Specialist Highway Works (HIW) test;
CITB Health & Safety & Environmental Managers & Professionals test.

Lagan Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge

Detail

The Lagan Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge project comprises the detailed design and construction of a steel twin-pylon cable-stayed bridge, approach ramps and associated ancillary works.

The proposed bridge will span 143m across the River Lagan from the Lagan Towpath at the Gasworks site to the Ormeau Embankment, close to the 'Ozone' indoor tennis centre and leisure complex. The width of the bridge at 5.0m will accommodate pedestrians and cyclists and improve linkages between communities from both sides of the River Lagan.

The Term contracts for Environmental Maintenance will include the following work activities: cleaning drainage systems, inspection of piped drainage systems, weed control, maintenance of grass areas, removal of fallen trees and other associated ancillary works in the following Local Government Districts:

EME1 - Belfast (North & South);
EMN1 - Causeway Coast & Glens;
EMS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon;
EMW1 - Cookstown, Dungannon & Magherafelt;
EMW2 - Derry & Strabane.

Provision of Service and Maintenance of Commercial Vehicles over 3500kg

Detail

The Department has a need to establish a call-off contractual arrangement in order to support its in-house maintenance operations.

When in-house capacity is not sufficient to meet operational requirements, this contract will provide the Department with a facility to have overspill work, requiring vehicles over 3500kg, to be undertaken.
