Overview

The scheme entailed the realignment and reconstruction of approximately 1.9km of the main A29 trunk road between the towns of Dungannon and Cookstown in the vicinity of Carland. The project involved the construction of a new 7.3m wide single carriageway and the realignment of some local roads to improve access onto the A29. The works also entailed the construction of a new bridge across the river Torrent with a span of approximately 15 metres.
